The Lawrence-McWhorter AIDS Foundation

Helping People Protect Their Health

Supporting HIV/AIDS prevention through education, awareness, and compassion for individuals, families, and communities.

OUR MISSION

A Personal Commitment to Prevention

Our mission is to help prevent the spread of HIV and other infectious diseases by supporting prevention education and programs for underserved and at-risk communities.

Named in honor of Laura Lawrence and Peter McWhorter, the foundation carries forward a personal commitment to helping others.

What Guides Our Work

Education, prevention, and community care are at the heart of our purpose.

Education & Awareness

Helping people understand HIV/AIDS and make informed choices about their health.

Prevention &
Safety

Promoting safer practices to prevent infectious disease and protect people from harm.

Community Outreach

Building on a history of outreach, local partnerships, and practical community support.

Individual & Family Support

Compassion and respect for individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS.

Current Initiatives

Help advance prevention and support the foundation’s mission.

Stop the Sticks - National Nurse Petition

Healthcare workers deserve more than a safety law on paper. Our Stop the Sticks petition calls for stronger enforcement of the law and greater accountability for preventable injuries. Add your name to help protect the people who care for us.
